Completely agree man. It's like shooting an ILS without the ATIS or enough gas for a go around; we could break out at 1,000, or we could hit minimums IMC. We should at least get the weather report first.

So you're scared of the virus boogeyman. Be afraid. You certainly come across as weak and sensational.

For now, we need to be patient and realize we're not experts and this problem is too complicated to just 'common sense' through it. There are literally dozens of companies working on anti virals, vaccines, research, COVID tests, etc because they all realize there's a huge financial windfall to solving a problem that's holding a $20T economy hostage. But right now, it's too early for us to even know what we're up against.
You are aware we're reopening parts of the country because the medical experts are saying to do so?

Not scared. Respectful of nature's power.

If doctor's and epidemiologists endorse it, then I'm inclined to trust them. If businessmen and people with political or financial ulterior motives are pushing counter to expert advice, then I'm inclined to distrust them.

This is more like the flu than shooting an ILS if you feel like comparing apples to oranges.

Haven't been keeping up with current events I see. I'm starting to realize most of you aren't actually keeping up.

Seriously, the current death toll from COVID is 35000 per the CDC

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html

The CDC estimate for 2019-2019 was 34000 deaths. For the whole season.

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2018-2019.html

We have more deaths in 3+ months with everyone at home than the flu over an entire season. Like, if you don't see the difference there, we just can't have an intelligent conversation about this.

Don't trust the CDC? You should. Anyway, trust Fox if you must.

Per the CDC the 2017-2018 flu death toll stateside was estimated 80k. This is also with mitigation since all of you surely take the flu vaccine to not endanger the elderly and the rest of society. I'm not sure why you'd be comparing an ILS to a disease. The flu is a better comparison than airplane lingo if we're being serious.
