That recruiter has no idea what is going on. He is probably told to say crap like that. It’s the only way they can recruit. Management said they weren’t able to hire as many pilots in 2018 as they planned. From what management is telling the pilots there are a limited number of upgrades and only hiring to cover attrition.
I think a net zero gain in aircraft as well as they are getting rid of the -700’s and retrofitting all the -800’s with 183 seats, an on board WiFi based entertainment system and power in seats.
Retaining is their problem. Pay and benefits at half of other LCC’s and majors will eat them alive. The disconnect on the pulse of the industry is scary.
