Default British Airways fire at LAS



Just got this sent to me. Reported to be British 2276 LAS-LGW. 2 minor injuries were reported.

liveatc has it on tower archieves. 2310:55Z is when you want to start listening.

10:54 Cleared for takeoff
12:47 Stopping on the runway
13:03 Need the trucks
14:00 Evacuation.

First shot I saw was a side shot; I thought uncontained engine fire.

But this looks like brakes/tires from a high-energy abort.....coming from both sides.

I agree. Doesn't look like anything is coming from left engine. Tire rubber on fire gives off a nice black smoke. It was about 105 degrees F out here today.
